Q Who can go on a mission trip?
A

Individuals or entire families are encouraged to join. If you have a spiritual gift, we need you. Whether you preach, teach, sing, or minister to any age group, we have a trip where you can easily serve God. Your participation in a mission trip gives us the understanding you are a Christ-follower who has a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and desires the nations to know and love God!


Q Do I have to be a member of Houston’s First Baptist to participate in a mission trip?
A

No. Anyone is welcome but all applicants are subject to approval.


Q How do I apply for a trip?
A

You can download the Forms. Print Forms A-D and either email them to Rochelle.Tucker@HoustonsFirst.org; fax to 713.957.5868 or drop them off personally at the Missions Office. Please include a photocopy of your passport.


Q How do I know if I am officially part of the team?
A

The following three (3) steps complete the application process:

  1. Completed Forms A-D: Missions Staff will review your application; they will contact your references; and finally double check for any missing information.
  2. Ten Percent (10%) Down Payment: a 10%, non-refundable, down payment is required. All forms of payment are accepted. You may pay online.
  3. Register Online: All our mission trips (link) are located on our website. You have the option of paying online when you register for any trip and can pay in full, half or 10%.


Q I am interested in a trip but do not have a passport?
How can I get one?
A

No problem! You can find all the forms you need on the U.S. Department of State website.


Q Is there a way to raise support for a trip?
A

Yes! We have Fundraising Manuals available in the Missions Office or online. We also offer Fundraising Envelopes located in the Missions Office.
