Where We've Gone
Brazil Trip (Rio de Janiero & Niteroi)

Focus: Evangelism, prayer walking, chronological Bible storying, recreation/youth activities
The team will once again work along Houston's First Missionary, Patti LaCarter, and to Niteroi, Brazil. They have asked for help with a sports camp including volleyball and soccer. We will also be doing beach evangelism, door to door evangelism, speaking in small groups of all age ranges, growing relationships with the members of their church (only about 50% are believers), out reach to the slums, and teaching the Word of God.
Chile Trip (Santiago)
Dates: Aug 6-13, 2011
Focus: Day Camp/Evangelism
The team will minister to the youth of Chile through a day camp providing sports, music and crafts. Evangelism and light construction will also be a part of our team's trip.
Brazil College Trip (Rio de Janeiro)
Date: Jul 17-28, 2009
We worked with indigenous churches and their mission churches in the surrounding area doing Back-Up Bible Clubs, beach ministry, Student Sports Camp, ESL and some light construction. The trip was specifically geared for those who are in college.
Brazil Trip (Sao Luis & Maranhao)
Dates: Aug 6-15, 2010
Focus: Evangelism, prayer walking, chronological Bible storying, recreation/youth activities
The team will work with Houston's First’s Missionary Keith Jefferson where he and his wife have been IMB missionaries in Brazil for many years. They are very passionate servants giving their lives away to the African slave descendant groups scattered all throughout Brazil. They have recently moved up to northern Brazil where there are over 600 villages of un-reached “Quilombolas”. They live in villages with houses made out of mud. We will work in 3 of these “Quilombolas” during our time in Brazil. Our team will be involved in door-to-door evangelism, prayer walking, chronological Bible storying, hygiene classes, skits, crafts, and recreation activities for the kids. We will close the trip with an R&R day at the beach.
