A Word from Our Pastor

Each week people come to the church on Thursday night from every walk of life. A common thread that is woven in each of these people is a hurt, habit or hang-up in their life and a desire to break free from it through the grace and love of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Through this ministry God has drawn men and women from the valleys of their life and given them a glimpse of what community looks like when we let down our guard and enter the battle for each other’s soul. I pray that as you are in the midst of the valley and struggling to see God, you reach out to fellow believers and invite them into the battle with you. Celebrate Recovery is a place where this can begin. Do not let pride stand in the way of experiencing what God has to offer or the call to help others.

For His glory,
Pastor Gregg

Who would benefit?

Celebrate Recovery provides a safe confindential environment to break free from the hurts, habits, and hang ups that hinder us from experiencing the True Joy found in Christ. Those who currently find themselves in the battle or have been there and want to support others can benefit from the experience. Also, if you have been in other 12-step programs and have had a desire to give back this could be the place to serve.

Celebrate Recovery Meeting

Every Thu @ 6-9p – Oasis Rm

The Counseling Center offers Celebrate Recovery, a ministry based on biblical principles to help people who are struggling with life issues. Celebrate Recovery provides a safe, confidential place to break out of life's hurts, habits, and hang ups into God’s grace (II Corinthians 12:9). We begin with fellowship and worship, followed by teaching or testimony and finish with small groups.

The second Thu of the month we have an extended time until 9:45 for Solid Rock Cafe.

Step Study Small Groups

Every Sun @ 4-6:30p – Rm 602

In addition to regular weekly Thursday night Celebrate Recovery meeting, we also meet weekly for Step Study in gender-specific small groups, i.e. male group(s) and female group(s). This is a more personal & intensive extension of the Thursday night meeting and provides better opportunities to grow in relationships.

In the 12 Step Study you will have the opportunity to work through the Celebrate Recovery workbooks in a same sex small group and journey together down the road to freedom from the hurts, habits, and hangups that have kept you in bondage. These meetings focus on in-depth study of the Twelve Steps and Biblical Comparisons using Celebrate Recovery Participant Guides. Individuals answer the questions asked in the Participant Guides and then share their answers in a small discussion group which is closed after the group reaches the end of the third of Eight Principles Based on the Beatitudes, which are part of the Celebrate Recovery program.
