Children’s Wednesday Night Bible Study Teacher

Description: Long Point Baptist Church is looking for a Pre-K and 4th/5th Girls Bible Study teacher on Wednesday Evenings. The teacher will be responsible for planning and teaching lessons each Wednesday using the curriculum provided for them.

Clothes Closet

Description: Volunteers will sort donations and assist the needy in choosing clothing. This is a great way to show Jesus’ love.

Connection Center Team

Description: Volunteers will be paired with those interested in becoming members of our church. At the conclusion of the worship hour you attend, you will hear the story of their journey of coming to know Christ and how He has led them to become a part of our church. If any other spiritual decision or need is apparent like becoming a Christian or getting baptized, you will assist them also.

Description: Volunteers with compassion for new immigrants are needed to help meet the needs of our neighbors who are learning the English language. Spanish is helpful, but not required. We provide professional materials and training.

Description: Volunteers are needed to help hang sheet rock at Long Point Baptist Church every Saturday morning between 8am–12pm. Also, if you are a professional type taper and/or floater, you’re assistance is greatly needed!

Description: Volunteers will provide manpower for maintenance projects at Hunt Retreat such as painting, landscape, picking pecan trees and helping to make the retreat more attractive and relevant to the needs of the groups using the facility.

Description: We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers who are excited about serving the Lord! We have unique opportunity for you to work and worship with Pre-K 4's and 5's.

Description: Heartland Pre-K worship needs people with interesting abilities to help us with our worship time Sunday mornings at 9:15a or 11a. If you can play an instrument, sing, dance, do sign language or juggle, then the Lord could use you in Heartland! Be prepared to be blessed by the 4 & 5 year-olds of our church!

Description: Volunteers will serve once every six weeks in a specific classroom. They will care for the children during the hour opposite their Sunday School hour. This allows Sunday School volunteers and the parents of the children to attend worship services.

Description: Volunteers will minister to those in our membership and community who are confined to their home or nursing home for extended periods of time. Volunteers will keep them connected to our church, send cards and make phone calls and/or monthly visits.

Description: Volunteers are needed on a quarterly basis to assist in preparing the communion elements to be used in all three worship services. We also need assistance with the removal of the cups and trays at the end of the evening service on Sunday night.

Description: Volunteers will provide stage assistance as well as operate sound, lighting and video equipment.

Sunday School Leadership
Preschool & Kindergarten
Description: Volunteers will serve young children weekly or bi-weekly. They will provide a stable atmosphere for the children and prepare activities and lessons that teach Biblical truth. We have 36 Preschool & Kindergarten Sunday School classes, with each class needing at least four adults. If you’ve ever wanted to make a difference in the life of a child, this is the perfect opportunity to do so!

Description: Volunteers will help elementary-aged children with homework after school (2:45-4:15p) for one day a week at the Kid’s Club, a ministry in Oak Forest Apts.
