Welcome Team

Help us make a great First impression.

Do you remember your first time to visit Houston's First? Were you lost? Confused? Full of questions? Well, you weren't the first person to feel that way -- and you weren't the last, either! Many people have the same experience when they set foot on our campus.

That's why the Welcome Team is such a vital part of Houston's First each Sunday. Whether it's finding a place to park, a place to study, a place to sit -- or just about anything else -- Welcome Team volunteers are there to help. Besides, people come to church to worship, to learn and to connect with others. The Welcome Team at Houston's First does whatever it can to make that happen!

Interested in joining the Welcome Team? Read over the opportunities below and complete the short sign-up form. A Welcome Team coordinator will contact you soon about where you can help us make a great First impression!

First Time Guest Parking Attendants (mornings only)

Volunteers will serve in the church's First Time Guest parking area on Sunday mornings welcoming guests, directing them to parking, and inviting them to stop by the Welcome Center for information. Volunteers usually work one Sunday a month.

Onsite Courtesy Cart Drivers (mornings only)

Volunteers will operate "Courtesy Carts" in the church's south parking lot on Sunday mornings, taking people from the back of the lot to the front of the lot nearest the church building (and vice versa). Volunteers must have a driver's license to operate the 6-8 passenger carts. Volunteers usually work one Sunday a month.

Entrance Greeters

Volunteers will serve at the various church entrances to greet and welcome each person upon entering the church. Commitment can be made for every Sunday, or every other Sunday.

Worship Service Greeters

(before the worship services)
Volunteers will serve at entrances to the Worship Center or Chapel by handing out the worship guides as well as welcoming everyone who comes in. Commitment can be for every Sunday, or every other Sunday.

Worship Service Greeters

(during the 11a worship service)
Volunteers will serve during the 11a service at one of the eight entrances to the Worship Center by directing late-comers to the most appropriate entrance with the least disruption to the service. Volunteers usually work one Sunday a month.

Welcome Center

Volunteers in the Welcome Center serve in a one-on-one welcoming opportunity. Duties consist of welcoming visitors to the church, walking guests to Bible studies, answering any questions, and helping them in many other ways. Don’t worry about having to know everything -- volunteers are trained! Volunteers usually work on Sunday a month.
