About Issa Kabar
Issa graduated from Houston Christian University with a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Houston Christian University (HCU), and is under the supervision of Myles Schutte, LPC-S. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Yarmouk University, Jordan, as well as Graduate-level hours in Theological Studies at the Jordan Evangelical Theological Seminary, and has gained valuable experience in pastoral care as the Associate Pastor at the Arabic Church of Houston. He is fluent in English and in Arabic.
Issa is passionate about counseling couples, adolescents, young adults, and individuals with challenges such as depression, anxiety, spiritual struggles, and relational issues. His therapeutic approach integrates Biblical principles with clinical methods, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, person-centered therapy, and individual counseling.
While he values the benefits of incorporating Biblical principles into the counseling process, Issa fully respects clients' wishes to avoid combining these elements. This commitment to honoring clients' beliefs fosters trust and promotes the therapeutic relationship.
In his free time, Issa enjoys being with family and friends, playing music (Piano and Lute), cooking, and reading. He enjoys learning new things and expanding his skill set and education
