About Katie McClain
Katie is currently pursuing her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Houston. She works under the supervision of Myles Schutte, LPC-S. With over a decade of experience serving in kids, youth, and adult ministries within her church, Katie has a deep-rooted passion for walking alongside others during their most challenging seasons.
Katie specializes in supporting young adults and individuals navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, and the general complexities of life. Her therapeutic approach is grounded in Person-Centered, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Brief Therapy, always aiming to provide a safe, non-judgmental environment. While she values her faith and biblical principals, she deeply respects the diverse beliefs of every client and prioritizes their unique goals and comfort.
In her free time, she greatly enjoys doing her hobbies like painting, junk journaling, cooking, and baking. She also enjoys traveling, volunteering, outdoor activities, and spending time with family and friends.
