Houston's First Baptist Church Celebrates A Year of Growth and Impact
As 2025 draws to a close, we are reflecting on an extraordinary year of spiritual momentum, both locally and globally.
Our multi-campus congregation deployed 32 mission teams - more than 410 people total - across five continents and 15 countries. We partnered with ministries around the world, strengthened churches, encouraged missionaries, and carried the gospel further than it has ever gone in history!
Across our campuses, we celebrated over 500 baptisms this year; a reminder that the gospel is still changing hearts and drawing people to Jesus.
NextGen Takes Center Stage
VBS across all campuses welcomed over 2,300 kids, supported by almost 600 PATHMAKERS.
Super Place Camp poured love and joy into our 36 friends with special needs, and was powered by 27 PATHMAKERS.
Our Preteen Camp gathered 325 kids, Camp Rush hosted 297 students, and Rush Week mobilized 244 students to serve the city of Colorado Springs.
During Rush Week, the students handed out door hangers in Jesus’ name, cleared trails, painted buildings, and served the community, all while consuming more than 1,000 gallons of water in the summer heat.
Equipping Believers, Serving Neighbors
Beyond youth programming, our church invested heavily in adult discipleship. More than 60 people completed an Evangelism & Apologetics Workshop, while the "Dig In, Speak Out" Bible Workshop trained 85 participants from over a dozen area churches in scriptural study and communication.
Local missional efforts yielded significant results: volunteers distributed more than 360,000 pounds of food, engaged in nearly 13,000 gospel conversations, and saw over 300 professions of faith.
Our Faith Centers served almost 34,000 people with groceries, prayer, and practical support, while The Oaks counseling ministry provided more than 1,800 sessions of Christ-centered care to 87 families.
Attendance Surges Across Campuses
Over the past year, worship attendance has increased across all our campuses. Sienna has nearly doubled, and The Loop, Cypress, and Downtown have each experienced significant growth. Houston’s First en Español has also seen rising attendance, approaching an average of 200 in its weekly worship service.
Church family, when you add all of this together, you can see it clearly:
God is moving at Houston’s First.
He is changing lives.
He is raising leaders.
He is sending us out.
And He is drawing more people to Himself every single week.
Thank you.
