At Houston’s First there are so many ways to get connected that sometimes it can feel a bit overwhelming. We're here to help you!

We Love Kids!

From newborns through high school seniors there's something here for your kids. We have Sunday Worship times as well as special times of worship designed for preschoolers, kindergarteners, and 1st–5th graders. Life Bible Studies provide more detail about what's available for children no matter what their age may be.

Find a Bible Study

Life Bible Studies are one of our main vehicles for growing our souls closer to God. They provide a place for us to explore the beauty and mystery of God's Word. These smaller settings also open the door for discussion with others as we seek to apply what we read in the Bible to our daily lives with friends to walk through it with you!

Throughout the week, Equip classes are designed to help you grow in your faith — whether you're deepening your biblical knowledge, navigating a specific season of life, or seeking a closer relationship with the Lord. Wednesday nights at Houston's First offer opportunities for everyone in the family to learn and grow closer to Jesus.

We believe church membership is more than a formality; it’s a commitment to grow together, serve together, and live out the mission of Jesus as one body. Membership is open to anyone who has placed their faith in Jesus Christ alone for the forgiveness of sins and has been baptized by immersion by a body of believers of like faith and practice.

You’ll experience a welcoming environment, live worship music, a message rooted in Scripture, and people of all ages and backgrounds. Whether you’re exploring faith or looking for a church home, there’s a place for you at Houston’s First.

We recommend arriving 15-20 minutes early, especially if you’re checking in kids. We have friendly PATHMAKERS (volunteers who serve to connect our guests on Sundays) ready to greet you, answer any questions you may have, and help you find your way around our church.

Come as you are! You’ll see everything from jeans to dressy casual to Sunday best. What matters most is that you’re here.

We have safe, age-specific programming for birth through 5th grade during most services. You can check them in when you arrive, and our First Kids team will help you every step of the way. Middle and high school students can join their families in service or attend programming designed just for them. Check your campus for details.

Each of our campuses has designated guest parking and signage to make it easy.

Just yourself! If you have a Bible, bring it. If not, no worries! We’ll have Scriptures on screen so you can follow along as we study God’s Word.

Not at all. People from many backgrounds call Houston’s First home. You’re welcome here whether you’ve never been to church, grew up in another denomination, or have been following Jesus for years.

Not one bit. We won’t make you stand up or introduce yourself. But if you’d like to let us know you came, you can complete a Connect Card that is available in the seating area in the Worship Center or online. If you fill that out and turn it in before you leave, we’d be honored to greet you with a warm hello and help you take your next step. We also have a small gift of thanks for visiting with us.

Take a moment and visit with any of our staff or PATHMAKERS after service or fill out a Connect Card. We’ll help you find a Life Bible Study, a place to serve, or whatever step fits your journey best.
