Finding Hope Through Community
Belonging happens when people are intentionally welcomed into community.
That is the heartbeat behind the Single Parent and Blended Family Ministry.
Every Sunday begins with something simple: breakfast. Before families separate into smaller Life Bible Study groups, they gather around tables to share a meal, laugh together, and begin building relationships. Those moments remind everyone that they are part of something bigger than themselves.
From there, people move into groups where they can connect with others who understand their unique experiences. Whether someone is navigating life as a single parent or learning the joys and challenges of blending two families into one, they quickly discover that they are not the only one asking difficult questions.
Often, the greatest encouragement comes from hearing someone say, "I've been there too."
This ministry exists to engage people intentionally, encourage them relationally, and equip them spiritually. For blended families, that includes strengthening marriages and providing support that can help prevent future divorce. For single parents, it means finding a community that understands the realities of raising children alone, while also pursuing Christ.
More than programs or classes, this ministry offers something many families have been searching for all along: people who know their story.
The church also has an important role to play.
Supporting single parents and blended families is just one example of extending the same love, grace, and mercy that Christ extends to each of us. Together, we can help one another move forward with hope.
