Sunday 365

Worship music is one way that we can “take church with us.” Music creates opportunities to connect with God, reflect on His truth, and be reminded of His presence throughout the week. We are commanded in Scripture to sing "Psalms, Hymns, and Spiritual Songs" to build our faith, encourage the Church, and point people to Christ.

Chris Colee, Associate Minister of Worship, explains:

"When I think about the word 'worship,' my mind goes straight to God’s Word in Romans 12:1: 'Therefore, brothers and sisters, in view of the mercies of God, I urge you to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God; this is your true worship.' The truth is, Worship is more than just songs we sing. While it is an important command from Scripture to sing to God, our worship is about living lives of devotion and surrender to God in light of the grace and mercy we have been shown. This kind of life requires us to daily sacrifice our time, talents, and treasure for the Glory of God. The object of our attention is a great test of our heart’s affection."

In this playlist, we have curated songs to help you do just that. Save the playlists below on your preferred platform, and take worship with you beyond Sunday!

Ways to Use Sunday 365
Listen while you are on a run, commuting to work, spending time with God, or simply going about your day. We pray that these songs encourage your heart and remind you that worship does not have to end when Sunday is over.

This can also be a meaningful way to bring the hope of Christ into the places where you live and work. If you are a business owner or play music in your workplace, consider adding the Houston’s First worship playlist to your daily routine. The songs that encourage us on Sunday can continue to reach people throughout the week, and you never know how God may use a familiar lyric or message to encourage someone, start a conversation, or point them toward Jesus.
