Tap Into Houston’s First
At Houston’s First, we’re always looking for new ways to make it easier and more accessible for people to connect with our church and take next steps. Whether you’re visiting for the first time, attending an event, or seeking new information about a ministry, we want every interaction to be simple, welcoming, and meaningful.
Our new tap technology is integrated with that same goal in mind. Instead of searching through menus or typing in web addresses, a simple tapping of your phone takes you directly where you need to go – making connections frictionless and easier than ever.
How to Tap
With any new technology, it may take a moment to learn what works best for your device.
For iPhone users, ensure that your phone is awake and unlocked, then place the top edge of your device near the church logo and hold it steady for a moment. A notification should appear on your screen that will take you directly to the page.
For Android users, make sure NFC is enabled and that your phone is unlocked. Then place the upper-center portion of the back of your device over the church logo and hold it steady for a moment. When the notification appears, simply click it to go directly to the page.
If the connection does not happen immediately, it might be due to slight differences in phone models or positioning. Accessories such as thick phone cases, wallets, or metal attachments can sometimes interfere with the signal. A quick adjustment is often all that is needed.
To ensure the best experience:
- Keep your phone awake and unlocked.
- Hold your phone steady over the church logo.
- Adjust the position of your phone if the notification does not appear.
- Remove accessories that may block the signal.
If you still have trouble tapping, a QR code will always be available. The QR code will appear on the Worship Center slides before service or on the back of your message notes each week.
Whether you tap or scan, you will be directed to our Quick Links with the same information and the same resources. We hope our tap technology helps you discover new opportunities to grow and stay connected with all that God is doing at Houston’s First.
