The Story: TOYMAKER

Each December, Houston's First brings the community together for "The Story." This year, expect a fresh, Broadway-style retelling of the greatest story ever told: the birth of Jesus. It is more than a musical; it is a night that reminds us of the "why" behind the season.

Picture this: it is Christmas, 1962, in the little town of Shepherdsville. Main Street is all aglow, neighbors greet one another by name, and two toymakers are on a collision course that echoes a story from long ago — a powerful king determined to protect what was his, and a humble King who came to give all He had to others.

This Christmas, become a part of this interactive new musical, as you sing from the audience in the Historic Shepherdsville Theater, gather with the crowd at the town’s Annual Christmas Tree Lighting, and worship with the congregation at First Baptist Shepherdsville — all from the comfort of your seat at Houston’s First Baptist - The Loop Campus.

The uniqueness of this year’s production is that you become part of the story as you discover that the greatest gifts are not the ones made in a workshop, but the ones given from the heart.

Filled with laughter, memorable songs, redemption, and the true meaning of Christmas, THE STORY: TOYMAKER is entertainment for the entire family!

Two toymakers. Two kingdoms. Two very different hearts. And one Christmas that will change them both.

We will not give it all away, but here is one final hint: the nativity you think you know is about to look completely different.
