What’s Next?

Becoming a Christian is the most important decision that anyone ever makes. One way that we help families disciple their child on this journey is by offering a “What’s Next?” class for kids who are asking questions about salvation and baptism.

We take the safety of our children seriously. Every First Kids PATHMAKER must have church membership and 6 months of active involvement at HFBC along with required background checks, references, and mandatory training.

Stop by our First Kids Welcome Desk before services to check in your child. Our team will help you register and walk you through the process.

All volunteers (known as PATHMAKERS at Houston's First) in First Kids have gone through our Safeguarding process and are approved to serve in NextGen Ministries. 

Join us for two extra hours every Wednesday night at KidLink. Our goal is to connect Sunday to Sunday through an action-packed evening of discipleship.

Of course! We encourage kids to worship with their families together each week during Family Worship. “My Worship Notes” are available to help kids focus and follow along with the message.

Life Bible Study is our Sunday small group experience where kids learn Scripture in an age-appropriate and engaging way.

There are many opportunities available to serve with First Kids! All of our PATHMAKERS must be church members, have active involvement (like attending an LBS) for six months, and undergo our Safeguarding screening before volunteering. If you’d like to serve with First Kids, please complete an interest form here.
