At Houston’s First Worship Academy, we believe that worship is more than a performance - it’s a calling. We’re passionate about helping people of all ages discover their gifts and use them for God’s glory. Through high-quality instruction, we develop skilled, Christ-centered musicians, dancers, and artists who are empowered to express their creativity and worship God through their talents. In addition to musical skills, characteristics such as self-discipline, focus, and patience are fostered while being in a supportive, safe environment.

FAQs about HFW Academy

We offer classes for all ages from preschoolers to adults. There’s a place for everyone to learn and grow!

No, Houston’s First Worship Academy is open to the community. We welcome anyone with a heart for music, worship, and learning!

Most private lessons are 30 minutes, and they meet once a week, though longer sessions are available. Group class length and frequency varies by type.

For most classes, yes, but not piano. If you don’t own an instrument, let us know, and we’ll do our best to help you.

Yes! Students can participate in seasonal recitals, talent showcases, worship nights, and other fun events throughout the year.

HFW Academy is located at the Loop Campus of Houston’s First Baptist Church at 7401 Katy Fwy, Houston, TX 77024.

Our studio is inside the Rehearsal Hall on Level 2.

Park in the West Lot and enter the church’s Main Lobby off of Memorial Woods Drive.

Our business hours are Mon-Fri, 9a-8p.
