HFBC Event Artwork: 8th Grade Beach Retreat

8th Grade Beach Retreat

Our 8th Grade Beach Retreat is a one-day getaway designed to help students step away from the normal rhythms of life and grow deeper in their faith, friendships, and understanding of who God has called them to be.

Students will begin the day at Houston’s First Baptist Church with a brief time of orientation before traveling together to Galveston. Throughout the day, they will experience engaging retreat sessions centered on God’s Word, along with intentional opportunities for connection and community building with their peers and adult Pathmakers. The day will also include plenty of fun, from time on the beach to shared meals and memorable moments together.

We’ll wrap up the retreat with a fun evening activity of putt-putt before returning to Houston’s First, where parents will pick up their students.

Our hope is that this retreat will not only create lasting memories, but also strengthen students’ faith and deepen their sense of belonging within their 8th grade community.
