Challenges and Joys

This summer, while Pastor Gregg is on sabbatical, we are excited to welcome four dynamic guest speakers to The Loop for a powerful message series titled Challenges and Joys!

Each of these speakers has experienced challenges, but those hardships have not held them back from living joyful and fulfilling lives. The way God has moved in each of their lives is a powerful testament to His faithfulness, grace, and redeeming love. Their stories serve as reminders that even through trials and uncertainty, God continues to work in meaningful ways, bringing hope, strength, and purpose to every season of life.

 Dr. William “Bill” Blocker - President of the College of Biblical Studies in Houston, Texas
Dr. William “Bill” Blocker has dedicated his life to Christian leadership, education, and ministry, faithfully serving through every season of challenge and opportunity. As president of the College of Biblical Studies, he helped lead the school to national accreditation while continuing to teach, mentor, and encourage others in their faith journeys. Through years of ministry, leadership, and service around the world, Dr. Blocker’s life reflects the joy and purpose that can come from trusting God through both trials and triumphs.

O. S. Hawkins has spent decades faithfully serving through ministry, leadership, and teaching. From pastoring the historic First Baptist Church Dallas to leading GuideStone Financial Resources for over two decades, his life reflects a steadfast commitment to guiding and encouraging others in their faith. Through his leadership, writing, and global influence, Dr. Hawkins continues to point people toward hope, wisdom, and the lasting joy that comes from a life rooted in God’s purpose.
